Whilst I was quite happy about installing and running Oleg's firmware on my WL-HDD, it is strongly worth considering the following before proceding.

  1. Installing unofficial firmware will void your warranty.
  2. Sometimes the firmware install is not successful, leaving your Wl-HDD without a firmware and very difficult to recover.
  3. Meddling with firmware can leave you with a dead Wl-HDD 
WARNING: DON'T INSTALL CUSTOM FIRMWARE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND HAVE TAKEN ALL THE ABOVE INTO ACCOUNT, YOU COULD MAKE YOUR WL-HDD 
USELESS! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR UNIT BY UNDERTAKING ANY OF THE STEPS IN THIS HOWTO. EVERYTHING YOU DO IS DONE AT YOUR
